Yasmeen Mohd. Sabir is a Principal Associate at Dentons Link Legal, with nearly a decade of experience across prestigious law firms such as Little & Co., Samvad Partners, and now Dentons Link Legal. A proud alumna of Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai, Yasmeen has carved her place in the demanding world of dispute resolution—spanning commercial litigation, arbitration, and insolvency.

As the first lawyer in her Jain family, she entered the legal field without a ready mentor, relying on grit, preparation, and determination. Today, she’s recognized for her intellectual rigor, resilience under pressure, and her growing influence in both domestic and international arbitration. Outside the courtroom, Yasmeen is grounded, adventurous, and a mountain trekker who believes in balancing career intensity with personal passion.

Yasmeen’s legal journey began almost serendipitously—trading an early interest in singing for the rigors of law. Convincing her family wasn’t easy, but her perseverance marked the beginning of a remarkable path. At Little & Co., she learned the ropes of advocacy, briefing counsels, and court practice. At Samvad Partners, she gained broader exposure, and with Dentons Link Legal, she now operates on a global stage, collaborating with international teams and clients.

A defining moment came early in her career when, as a junior, she was thrust into arguing a high-stakes case before the Bombay High Court against a senior counsel. Despite the outcome being affected by legal technicalities, the judge praised her performance—an experience she cherishes as proof of her capability and courage.

For Yasmeen, being a lawyer isn’t just about results or recognition. It’s about shaping the law itself, embracing digitalization, and pushing for reforms like better case management and stronger ADR mechanisms to address India’s backlog of cases.
