A first-generation lawyer, Vishal completed his LLB from NLU Jodhpur and LLM from NLSIU Bangalore—two of India’s most prestigious law schools. His professional path moved across in-house roles, law firms, insurance companies, and financial institutions, giving him a 360° view of the legal ecosystem.

One of his most defining early experiences was his work as a research assistant to a Supreme Court judge, followed by deep engagement in regulatory compliance in the insurance sector—a space that was still evolving in India at the time. He learned early that compliance is not a roadblock but a system enabler, capable of protecting both organizations and consumers.

His leadership philosophy was shaped in environments where freedom to experiment, room to fail, and responsibility to ethically deliver were equally valued. These lessons ultimately led to the launch of “I Am Legal”—named after the Sanskrit word “Aayam”, meaning a new dimension. The firm’s core vision:
