Tarun’s life and career journey is a testament to his deep-rooted passion for both sports and law. Growing up in a family with a rich sporting culture, his early exposure to sports played a pivotal role in shaping his career choices. While excelling in football at the university level, Tarun encountered complex legal issues surrounding athletes’ rights and doping, sparking his interest in sports law. This intersection of his athletic background and legal education led him to pursue a specialized career in this emerging field.

Tarun’s academic pursuits were heavily influenced by his family, particularly his father, which guided him towards a career in academia over corporate law. His tenure at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) allowed him to merge his interests in teaching and sports law, where he established courses and research initiatives that have significantly contributed to the sports law ecosystem in India.
