He began his career as an Associate with Justice Vikramajit Sen and Ms Mrinalini Sen, Advocate, before joining Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in June 2018. Her educational foundation also includes a Bachelor of Campus Law (LL.B.) from the Faculty of Law at Kendra, University of Delhi , with her professional journey a strong set of circumstances and he displays a history of success in the practice of law.

Shatrajit Banerji, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is a seasoned lawyer with expertise in Arbitration Law, Insolvency Law, and Electricity Law. He began his legal journey with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Delhi University’s Faculty of Law, Campus Law Centre, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Jadavpur University.

Starting as an intern at M.V. Kini & Associates in 2013, Shatrajit gained experience with Protik Prokash Banerji in Kolkata and K.T.S. Tulsi in New Delhi. He served as an Associate with Mr. Gautam Narayan, Advocate, from August 2015 to June 2017, and then with Justice Vikramajit Sen and Ms. Mrinalini Sen, Advocate, for a year.

In June 2018, Shatrajit joined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, India’s leading law firm, progressing from Associate to Senior Associate, Principal Associate Designate, and currently, Principal Associate since May 2023. The firm advises a diverse clientele and has received accolades such as “National Law Firm of the Year: India” at the IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards (2022, 2023) and the “Innovation in Advancing Markets” award at the FT Innovative Lawyers Asia Pacific 2022 Awards.

  • As a listed partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, he has extensive experience in both energy law, arbitration, insolvency and corporate litigation
  • Satrajit discussed various legal technical tools that have had a significant impact on his work, including SEC, Manupatra, and other regulatory research tools. LiquidText to simplify annotation and notation. Transition from physical files to digital format, using tools like Workshare Compare to compare documents.
  • AI is used to review, edit, and organize documents. Satrajit used to read newspapers like the Economic Times, The Hindu, and The Economist as well to emphasize the importance of new information.
  • Relies on popup reports from platforms such as Bar & Bench, Live Law, and updates from the internal knowledge management team. Regular discussions with colleagues and peers to stay abreast of the latest legal developments.
  • Shatrajit fondly recalled his college days, highlighting the interesting courses and supportive environment in his law school. She admitted that keeping in touch with friends and family is a work in progress, but she tries desperately to stay in touch through daily texts and WhatsApp groups.
