Neeta Chawan is a multifaceted leader who bridges intellectual property law, event curation, and community empowerment. As Director of Canvas Events and an IPR practitioner at Advantis, Neeta blends legal rigor with commercial creativity to help business owners build visible, resilient brands. A long-standing BNI leader and mentor, she has supported thousands of entrepreneurs across India — helping them scale, network, and tell their stories. Neeta is also an author and curator of women-entrepreneur narratives, committed to amplifying under-told journeys.

Neeta’s 20-year journey is built on two complementary pillars: law and business. Trained as an IPR lawyer, she co-founded Advantis (with her husband) to deliver trademark, copyright, patent, design, opposition, and enforcement services to a pan-India client base (10k–15k clients). Parallelly, her deep engagement with BNI revealed a market need — business owners who are brilliant at operations but require help with branding, visibility and curated networking. That insight led to Canvas Events: a white-glove platform that offers business owners a “blank canvas” to craft stage presence, sponsorships, government outreach, and high-impact launches. Neeta’s approach blends relationships (two decades of trust), legal protection (IP-first mindset), and event craft — designed to scale entrepreneurs to national and global stages.

  • Author & storyteller: Her book featuring 40 women entrepreneurs captures lived journeys of struggle, grit and scaling — created to inspire and to preserve stories that otherwise go unheard.
  • Leadership mantra: Be coachable, commit to continuous self-learning, and obsess over after-sales care — retention is the leadership KPI.
  • Mentorship: Credits mentor Pankaj Harwans for mindset, stability and people skills; stresses mentors are essential for scaling.
  • Tech outlook: Partner is tech-savvy; Neeta is actively learning digital marketing and camera skills to future-proof Canvas Events.
  • Sri Shakti view: Women’s power must be harnessed through decision-making and communication — Neeta urges women to take bold calls and use platforms to amplify impact.
