Some lawyers grow into litigation. Others are built for it from day one. Anshul Anjarlekar, Partner at Rahul Shah & Company, belongs to the rare tribe that thrives on pressure, uncertainty, and the sheer adrenaline of the courtroom. With a journey shaped by commercial disputes, civil litigation, real estate conflicts, and high-stakes recovery matters, he represents the new-age litigator — sharp, resilient, research-driven, and hungry for mastery.
On this Ganesh Chaturthi Special of the Emerging Lawyer Series @ Koffee Conversation, Anshul opens up with striking honesty about his evolution from a science student to a CS aspirant to a full-fledged courtroom lawyer. His presence blends intensity with authenticity, making his story a reminder that grit + curiosity + consistency are the real engines behind a successful litigation career.

Anshul’s path into law wasn’t pre-planned — it emerged from curiosity. A contract law subject in his CS course opened a door he didn’t know existed. After completing commerce, he entered Government Law College (GLC), where competition was fierce and learning was raw and real. From Year 1, he interned relentlessly — applying to 40–50 places and finally stepping into trademark work, corporate risk teams, and then the internship that changed everything: Rahul Shah & Company. That “three-month internship” became an 11-month deep dive into litigation, courts, procedure, and drafting.
His next milestone was Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan (LKS), where he handled large-ticket matters and international clients — sharpening his briefing skills and research instincts. But the fire to argue pulled him back to Rahul Shah & Co., where he joined as an Associate and, within a few years, rose to Partner. Today, he manages cases, teams, clients, and courtroom strategy — proof that passion paired with perseverance can transform an intern into a leader.
