Vijayavanitha S, CISA, is a distinguished cyber security leader, auditor, academician, and the First Woman President of ISACA Bangalore Chapter, with over 20 years of excellence in auditing, information systems security, governance, and education. From being part of India’s top government audit systems to shaping the next generation of cyber professionals at Manipal University, her journey stands at the intersection of audit, cyber security, and academia—rooted in integrity, discipline, and visionary leadership

Vijayavanitha’s defining career transformation came in 2012, when she shifted from over two decades of high-impact government and industrial auditing at the CAG’s office to becoming an Assistant Professor at Manipal University—a move she describes as a seismic strategic shift.

One of her landmark achievements early in her career was preparing the first-ever Information Systems Audit Report from PDCA Bangalore to be tabled in the Parliament of India, setting a pioneering national benchmark. This transition allowed her to convert rigorous audit and governance experience into cyber security leadership and academic mentorship.

Her journey further evolved through nearly a decade of leadership at ISACA Bangalore Chapter, where she transformed the chapter into India’s largest, modernized its 25-year-old bylaws, established a permanent office, and led it to global recognition with the 2024 Outstanding Chapter Achievement Award.

Parallel to her professional rise, she is also a former National Volleyball Player and a four-time National Sports Scholarship holder, a discipline that forged her leadership DNA long before boardrooms and classrooms
